The Challenge

Fired Up Technologies approached The Private Office with our new Yealink video conferencing solution. The Private Office was looking to upgrade their current video conferencing equipment after trialling separate pieces of kit (webcam, microphone, screen) along with different video conferencing platforms over the past 6 months.

They were having issues with audio cutting out when conducting conference calls between their North and South offices. This meant the business had to revert to face-to-face meetings, leading to frequent travel between locations. The Private Office also raised a need for equipment that would help them deliver training in a more engaging and efficient way.

Solution

Following an initial consultation, it became clear that The Private Office needed a scalable, easy to deploy, simple to use solution. Implementing the Yealink video conferencing suite that works with Microsoft Teams was the clear solution.

Dan Kurdziej, Audio Visual Specialist explained “After an initial consultation with Ben Meyer, the Private Office’s IT Manager, we arranged a product demonstration in which we setup a Yealink meeting solution at their Leeds office and conducted a series of trial calls with the Chief Executive of The Private Office, who was in London. The system worked extremely well, delivering exceptional audio and visual quality. The Chief Executive was so impressed with the demo that he ordered two solutions; one each for their Leeds and London offices. We also discussed with Ben different options for improving their training provision. We suggested they integrated touch displays and they opted to install one at both sites in their training rooms”

The Yealink Room System delivers a native Microsoft Teams Rooms virtual meeting solution. Designed for small, medium and large meeting rooms, the system contains a touch console, content sharing capability, audio and video peripherals, and a mini-PC to provide an all-in-one solution that really works.

Two 65’’ inch interactive displays were installed to support training requirements. With Android OS embedded, The Private Office had the most developed OS on the planet allowing them to save their own apps directly into the display. Fired Up Technologies provided direct access to the screens using HDMI and USB connections that were installed directly into the table for easy access. Training and content can be deployed and saved on connected devices or directly on the display’s internal memory.

IT Manager Ben Meyer was impressed with the speed in which our team were able to integrate Yealink Video Conferencing into their North and South offices.

“The VC system we have had installed in our Leeds and London boardrooms is a marked improvement on our previous system for audio and video quality and has perfectly finished the look of our boardrooms as well. The system has enabled us to hold meetings between locations where previously we’d have all the attendees travelling to either office, which at times could be up to 15-16 members of staff. These meetings are held at least once per month so the saving on travel, catering and accommodation is huge!”
