Fired Up Technologies of Brighouse, completed the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge on Monday 7th October. A team of 6 colleagues walked 40 kilometres and took on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough within a day.
They managed to complete the challenge in just under 12 hours. Fired Up Technologies have so far raised just over ?1,300 for mens mental health charity Andy’s Man Club which was founded in Halifax.
Joe Lawson, Marketing Manager at Fired Up Technologies said: ?It was tough completing the Three Peaks Challenge in a day. I?m glad the hours of training paid off.?
Andy’s Man Club was setup in 2016 with the aim of reducing the number if suicides in men under the age of 45 in the UK, by providing a platform for those suffering from mental health to come together and talk through and share their problems and thoughts rather than letting them get on top.
Joe Lawson explained: ?Mental health is no longer an unspoken topic and that?s thanks to charities like Andy’s Man Club who are breaking down the negative stigma behind people in particular young men speaking out about their mental health issues and seeking help and advice?
He added that the he hopes the money raised by the challenge can help Andy’s Man Club continue to do the amazing work they do and a big thank you to the generosity of all those who sponsored.
Anyone who wishes to still donate the Go Fund Me page will be live until 20th October.
